Fleet Account Officer

We’re hiring a Fleet Account Officer to lead the onboarding, support, and performance management of our entire driver network.

Job description


Ultimately, your role will involve close collaboration with our drivers and automotive technicians, facilitating seamless operations and upholding our organisations vehicle maintenance standards.


Responsibilities


  • Recruit, vet, and onboard all categories of drivers: ride-hailing, ride-share, and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with driver registration and documentation requirements.
  • Provide orientation and training to ensure drivers understand platform policies and tools.
  • Address technical issues promptly and work with the IT team to implement improvements.
  • Oversee the purchase, maintenance, and utilisation of vehicles within the fleet.
  • Optimise vehicle scheduling and route planning to maximise profitability.
  • Maintain detailed records of vehicle service history and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with automotive technicians to address vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all drivers and vehicles are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver and vehicle documentation.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities for licensing and registration.
  • Implement safety protocols and quality control measures to uphold the highest standards of service.
  • Manage ongoing driver accounts and performance tracking using backend systems.
  • Serve as the point of contact for driver support, disputes, and compliance issues.
  • Analyse revenue performance across driver segments and design driver engagement strategies.
  • Support marketing and operational campaigns aimed at growing fleet-based revenue.
  • Report regularly on fleet metrics: driver retention, earnings, efficiency, and revenue generation.

Requirements and Skills


  • 1–3 years in fleet management, driver operations, or transport account roles (Not a requirement but a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with driver platforms, dashboards, or mobility apps.
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with transportation and logistics industry standards.
  • Ability to manage large contact lists and provide frontline driver support.
  • Self-starter with a revenue mindset and problem-solving approach.
  • Degree or diploma in business, transport, logistics, or related field is preferred.


NOTE: Applicants must reside or willing to relocate in or near Madina, Adenta, Haatso, Legon, Oyarifa, North Legon, or nearby areas.

    Attractive salary and benefits


    • Competitive Base Salary: GHS 1,300-1,800 based on experience and qualification.
    • Commissions: An agreed revenue commission from the total earnings of your active driver pool (monthly). Agreed bonus payable per active driver on-boarded and completing first 10 trips or deliveries.
